How a birthday reaches 8
Add the day, the month and the year you were born. If the total is over 22, add its digits, and repeat until you have 22 or less. The number left is your birth card.
Birth card 17 lands here too: add its digits and you get 8, so Strength becomes the soul card.
BornOctober 28, 1950 28 + 10 + 1950 = 1988 → 1 + 9 + 8 + 8 = 26 → 2 + 6 = 8 8

How do I know if my birth card is 8?
Add the day, month and year you were born and reduce the digits until you have 22 or less. For example, October 28, 1950: 28 + 10 + 1950 = 1988, 1 + 9 + 8 + 8 = 26, 2 + 6 = 8. The calculator on this page does the sum for you.
Are the birth card and the year card the same thing?
They use the same cards and the same sum. The birth card uses the year you were born and never changes; the year card swaps in the current year and changes every birthday.
